Jennifer is a Registered Social Worker who has worked in healthcare for 17 years, and for nearly 12 of those years, in a hospital-based mental health clinic providing counselling and psychotherapy to people with a variety of mental health issues. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, non-judgmental and client-centered, meaning she respects you as an individual, your lived experience, your values and views, as well as your goals. Mood and anxiety disorders, emotion regulation, personality disorders, trauma and PTSD, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, attachment issues, and interpersonal conflict are some of Jennifer’s areas of expertise.

Jennifer has specialized training and clinical experience in trauma-based therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), as well as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).  Additionally, she was one of the first in Canada to obtain certification in Perinatal Mental Health. She also has extensive experience in facilitating group therapies.

    It is up to the client to contact their insurance to confirm coverage.
